I’m Tom, an intelligence analyst intern at CrowdStrike. I’ve got a huge interest in malware analysis/software reverse engineering, and it’s an interst I love to share with people as I’ve done at multiple conference talks up to this point.

However one question that always comes up is around resources to learn more about the subject. I often struggle for things to recommend and so I thought I’d address the issue directly by creating my own resources intended for complete beginners, with the intention to get people from limited programming experience to being able to reverse engineer simple samples.

The intention is to make one post on the last weekend of each month, in the beginning going over basic concepts and eventually into reverse engineering crackmes and then actual malware samples.
